According to statistics, when you share something out on social media channels typically less than 5% of people actually get to see it. However, when you’re sharing on email around 20% of people will see it. Therefore, I would suggest using email marketing! So how can you use your social media to build email subscribers? Well we all know that seeing something on social media is like seeing a billboard as you’re driving by, but with email it’s like stopping at the billboard! If you can get your audience’s attention on social media then with an email you can have them hooked or sold on whatever you are advertising. Twitter and Facebook allow you to pin content to the top of your feed. This is a great opportunity to encourage people to visit your profile and ultimately visit your website. In addition to pinning, I would suggest oversharing content on your site. This will attract more people to visit your website. If you can get more traffic from social media to your website you have a much better chance of increasing your email subscribers. In summary, email marketing makes your process more direct, personalized and targeted. Do it!
